Prepared the traditional way — 九蒸九曬, nine cycles of steaming and sun-drying — this wild-grown Huang Jing (Polygonatum) is transformed into a deep, glossy black rhizome, soft and honey-sweet. Where the raw root is pungent and fiery, repeated processing mellows it into a nourishing tonic that moistens Lung, Stomach and Kidney yin while gently lifting Spleen qi — rich yet never cloying, and easy to digest.
